Neera Maini Srivastav
A post graduate in English Literature for Bombay University, Neera began her career as a creative professional in advertising, Lintas (now Lowe) , then moved on to senior creative roles in Saatchi and Saatchi , followed by the Times Group. Having pioneered the creative start-up cell there, she moved on to assume the role of Creative Head in a renowned film production house. Earning accolades and awards for creativity, she continued to hone her creative talents and expanding her base of creative expressions, gaining academic and practical knowledge in screenwriting and creative writing.
The creative inspiration continued as she explored different genres of writing, right from building brands to writing feature stories for newspapers & magazines and making a foray into screenwriting for both television and cinema. Recently she plunged herself into the animation industry, was on the board of an animation studio as a Creative Director, developing Intellectual properties from concept to final script.
In 2007, she published a child-adult fiction novella called ‘The White Crow’ www.thewhitecrow.info The book was endorsed by Pradeep Guha, Gerson Da Cunha and Ayaz Memmon (DNA). Today the novella is part of the curriculum in a reputed school in Bombay and is well on its way to be adapted for a movie by an internationally acclaimed animation studio.
She feels my journey so far can be best summed up in the words of Robert Frost
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less travelled by,
and that has made all the difference”

Currently, she resides in India, working in the communications industry as Creative Director, while developing film scripts and writing books.
